Goodbye Fish / Ocean

With little time left, i visited the University of Washington Fish / Ocean Library -- probably the only one to go down without a fight in a round of branch closures.

We barely knew you ... we barely care.

  2. hmmm... I think we do care, seeing as how one of the people leaving F/O has displaced me...

Also, chem went down with less of a fight. I hear they're planning on putting in a pool, and throwing weekly parties, once we haul our moldy library arses out of there.

  3. I'm not okay with the death of libraries especially fish and ocean related libraries (however getting rid of a certain bush library wouldn't be that bad...)

this is wrong no matter how you look at it.

  4. UW has lots of little library's with low use and really limited hours scattered all over; they've been meaning to consolidate for years. They will still have one dedicated marine sciences library, at their Friday Harbor location. We are still cranky about the personal implications of the personnel changes though.
